Butte Cobras almost clawed its way back from a three-goal deficit, but Whitefish Wolverines managed to pull out a 4-2 win in the end. Whitefish Wolverines led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Whitefish Wolverines' Chris Cutshall scored at 1:09 in the third period to put Whitefish Wolverines up 3-0. After the loss made the series score 1-0 in the best of three series, Butte Cobras faces elimination next time out.
