Springfield Express rips Tulsa Jr. Oilers, 7-1

Springfield Express had a five-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-1 win over Tulsa Jr. Oilers.

The win by Springfield Express clinched the best of three series at 2-0.

Springfield Express pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 26 penalty minutes.

Springfield Express was led by Vito DeVito, who registered one goal. DeVito scored 18:09 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Springfield Express. Seth Ensor assisted on the tally.

Springfield Express' offense rang up 61 shots on Tulsa Jr. Oilers' net.

Springfield Express also got points from Austin Purdy, who also had one goal and one assist, Ensor, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Linus Dahlberg, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Dammond Brokke also scored for Springfield Express. In addition, Springfield Express received assists from Diego Bartlett, who had two and Eric Hewitt, Per Eriksson, Mike Heverly, David Higgs, and Tobias Sjolund, who contributed one each.

Oliver Eklund rejected 21 shots on goal for Springfield Express. Springfield Express registered three goals on nine power play opportunities. Colter Pritchard recorded 54 saves for Tulsa Jr. Oilers. Tulsa Jr. Oilers totaled 73 minutes in penalty time with nine minors and three majors and went 1-for-8 on the power play. For Tulsa Jr. Oilers, Joey Tingler was ejected from the game.
