The Dundas Blues tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Grimsby Peach Kings would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 2-1. A goal by Malcolm Lynett put Grimsby up 2-0 in the third period, but Dundas pulled to within one on Joey Sullivan's tally 5:27 into the third period. After the loss made the series score 3-1 in the best of seven series, the Blues face elimination next time out. The Peach Kings' Jeremy Currie was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 33 saves and let only one puck past him. The solid play of Currie will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.5. Grimsby's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Dundas power plays. Dundas was unable to stop the Peach Kings from sending pucks towards the net, and Grimsby eventually piled up 32 shots on goal. Grimsby also got a goal from Curtis Jacques as well. Other players who recorded assists for Grimsby were Aidan McCreadie and Garnet McComber, who contributed one each. The Blues' offense rang up 34 shots on the Peach Kings' net. In addition, Dundas received assists from Kevin Jaczenko and Matt Johnson, who each chipped in one. Grimsby incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Brock Novak rejected 30 shots on goal for Dundas. The Blues incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Dundas ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Thomas Dowling was ejected from the game.
