M3-Northern Colorado blows out M3-North Carolina - Wilmington, 6-0

The M3-North Carolina - Wilmington Seahawks had trouble finding ways to stop M3-Northern Colorado, which beat Seahawks, 6-0.

M3-North Carolina - Wilmington's six penalties came back to haunt it, as the Seahawks let up four goals while on the penalty kill.

M3-Northern Colorado was sparked by Colten Foster, who finished with one goal. Foster scored on the power play 8:34 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M3-Northern Colorado. A cross checking penalty on Zacharie Cormier had put M3-Northern Colorado on the power play. Kevin Garske picked up the assist.

M3-Northern Colorado excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. M3-Northern Colorado found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. M3-Northern Colorado averages 3.7 goals per game. M3-Northern Colorado put 60 shots on net during the contest, more than the 14.7 it averages per game.

M3-Northern Colorado also got points from Garske, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Cameron Taggart, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Mike Tabrum also scored for M3-Northern Colorado. Other players who recorded assists for M3-Northern Colorado were Mitchell Bailey, who had two and Corbin Fitzgibbons, Austin Pond, and Zach Barber, who each chipped in one.

By firing 22 shots on goal, M3-North Carolina - Wilmington exceeded the 1.0 shot it averages per game this year.

Owen Rauer made 22 saves for M3-Northern Colorado on 22 shots. M3-Northern Colorado incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Seahawks' Nick Lenker stopped 54 shots out of the 60 that he faced. M3-North Carolina - Wilmington incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
