M3-Florida Gulf Coast University outlasts M3-Calvin College, 4-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, M3-Florida Gulf Coast University escaped with a 4-2 victory over M3-Calvin College.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Brett Sutton's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

Sutton had a great game for M3-Florida Gulf Coast University, netting two goals.

Tyler Toyota was the focal point of M3-Florida Gulf Coast University's attack, as he took and 29 out of his team's 36 shots.

M3-Florida Gulf Coast University also had goals scored by Ryan McAleese and Tyler Reichl, who scored one goal each. In addition, M3-Florida Gulf Coast University received assists from Eric Mabie, who had two and Trevor Mullaly and Matt Gross, who each chipped in one.

M3-Calvin College's offense revolved around and Josh Tempelman, who put and 18 shots on net. M3-Calvin College did not rack up many penalties in the contest, tallying a minimal one minor for two minutes in penalty time. M3-Calvin College put 32 shots on net during the contest, more than the 21.0 it averages per game.

M3-Calvin College was helped by John Conz, who tallied one goal. Conz scored 9:20 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Brent Harris picked up the assist. M3-Calvin College also got a goal from Ryan Racanelli as well. Other players who recorded assists for M3-Calvin College were Charles Kingston, Austin Kath, and Cameron Bell, who contributed one each.

Tyler Toyota made 30 saves for M3-Florida Gulf Coast University on 32 shots. M3-Florida Gulf Coast University incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Tempelman recorded 32 saves for M3-Calvin College. M3-Calvin College registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
