The Clarington Eagles survived a determined comeback attempt by the Uxbridge Bruins on the way to a 6-4 win. A goal by Dylan Howorko put Clarington up 6-3 in the second period, but Uxbridge pulled to within two on Tyson Eastgate's tally 29 seconds into the third period. The win by the Eagles clinched the best of seven series at 4-0. Clarington was paced on offense by Cody Kean and Brad Down, who combined for five points. Kean had two goals and one assist and Down also notched one goal and one assist. The Eagles was effective with a man advantage, and put in three goals while on the power play. Clarington additionally got points from Down, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Howorko, who also registered one goal and two assists, Brent Hambly, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Brodie Myers, who also had one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Clarington were Jarod Hollister, Braden Gray, and Collin Weston, who each chipped in one. The Bruins were led by Todd Winder, who tallied two goals and one assist. Winder scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 2:26 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Clarington. Uxbridge had gotten the advantage when Clarington's Down was sent off for tripping. Adam Bartholomew picked up the assist. Winder's next tally on the power play made the score 4-3 Clarington with 9:36 left in the second period. The Bruins found themselves down a man on Alex Siblock's high sticking. Shane Smith provided the assist. Uxbridge also got a goal from Jarett Smith as well. In addition, Uxbridge received assists from Connor Evans and Thomas Sheedy, who contributed one each. Connor Visca made 24 saves for the Eagles on 28 shots. Clarington incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Brandon Francey recorded 23 saves for Uxbridge. The Bruins incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
