Jake Carter gave the Clarington Eagles a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Uxbridge Bruins when he scored 8:25 into the extra period.

After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, Uxbridge faces elimination next time out.

Clarington was led by Carter, who had one goal.

The Eagles' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Uxbridge power plays. Clarington forced the Bruins goalie Brandon Francey to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

Clarington also got points from Collin Weston, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Clarington also got a goal from Jarod Hollister as well. More assists for Clarington came via Mitchell Marchbank, Mackenzie Morissette, Ben Pitchforth, and Dylan Howorko, who contributed one each.

Uxbridge was helped by Alex Siblock, who tallied one goal. Siblock scored 11:00 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Jason Simmonds picked up the assist. Daryl Thomson also scored for Uxbridge. Other players who recorded assists for Uxbridge were Adam Bartholomew, who had one and Michael Spataro, who had two.

The Eagles' Connor Visca stopped 27 shots out of the 29 that he faced. Clarington incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Brandon Francey made 34 saves for the Bruins on 37 shots. Uxbridge incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. The Bruins ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Thomas Sheedy was ejected from the game.
