BLUEWATER tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but STONEY CREEK held on for a 3-1 victory.

STONEY CREEK made the score 3-0 on a goal by Sarah Hine at 1:26 in the third period, and BLUEWATER got as close as 3-1 when Devon Facchinato scored 17:14 into the third period.

After the loss made the series score 2-0 in the best of five series, BLUEWATER faces elimination next time out.

Claire Merrick had a great game for STONEY CREEK, netting two goals. Merrick's tallies came at 59 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-0 STONEY CREEK and 3:50 into the second to make the score 2-0 STONEY CREEK.

STONEY CREEK kept BLUEWATER's goalie busy throughout the game, and Morgan Baker made 34 saves on 37 shots.

STONEY CREEK also got points from Hine, who also registered one goal and two assists. In addition, STONEY CREEK received assists from Rachael Smith, Kayla Vespa, and Taylor McMahon, who contributed one each.

More assists for BLUEWATER came via Katreena Whiteye and Meredith Goldhawk, who each chipped in one.

Serena DAngelo made 16 saves for STONEY CREEK on 17 shots. STONEY CREEK incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. BLUEWATER incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
