Nicholas Caldwell made 33 saves to complete the shutout and led the Stratford Cullitons to a 1-0 win against the Cambridge Winter Hawks. After the loss made the series score 3-1 in the best of seven series, Cambridge faces elimination next time out. Mitch Brooks's game-winning tally was the game's only goal. It came at 2:52 in the second period. Tristan Hohl picked up the assist. Stratford was led by Brooks, who registered one goal. The Cullitons put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Winter Hawks to score on any of their five power plays. In addition, Stratford received assists from Trevor Sauder, who had one. Cambridge's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on 10 Stratford power plays. The Winter Hawks forced Stratford goalie Caldwell to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots. The Cullitons incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Cambridge's Lucas Machalski stopped 21 shots out of the 22 that he faced. The Winter Hawks incurred 42 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
