In a game where neither team could get a cushion, M3-Miami University of escaped with a 4-2 victory over M3-South Carolina University of.

M3-Miami University of gained the winning advantage on a goal by Andrew Smith 18:49 into the second period and hung on until final buzzer.

M3-Miami University of got the win on the strength of a great game by Smith, who had two goals and one assist. Smith scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 19:56 into the first period to make the score 1-1.
