TORONTO rolls over AURORA, 4-1

TORONTO had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over AURORA.

With the win, TORONTO avoided elimination to make the series score 2-2 in the best of five series.

TORONTO was led by Emma Low-A-Chee, who finished with one goal. Low-A-Chee scored 4:17 into the first period to make the score 2-0 TORONTO. Tori Haywood picked up the assist.

TORONTO's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three AURORA power plays. TORONTO's offense rang up 32 shots on AURORA's net.

TORONTO additionally got points from Daryl Watts, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Others who scored for TORONTO included Celine Frappier and Mikyla Grant Mentis, who each put in one. More assists for TORONTO came via Haley Shugart, who had one and Jessie Eldridge, who had three.

AURORA's offense was handcuffed by TORONTO's defensive play, and AURORA managed only 13 shots on goal during the game.

AURORA was led by Becca Chilvers, who scored the team's only goal. Chilvers scored 14:44 into the first period to make the score 2-1 TORONTO. Tara Morning (A) provided the assist.

Stephanie Neatby made 12 saves for TORONTO on 13 shots. TORONTO incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. AURORA's Taylor Lemmon stopped 28 shots out of the 31 that she faced. AURORA incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
