A stellar performance between the pipes by Melissa Black helped AURORA defeat TORONTO, 2-1.

With the win, AURORA evened the series at 1-1 in the best of five showdown.

AURORA was paced by Claudia Black (A), who registered one goal and one assist. Black (A) scored 1:22 into the third period to make the score 2-1 AURORA. Tara Morning (A) provided the assist.

AURORA's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five TORONTO power plays.

AURORA also got points from Becca Chilvers, who also racked up one goal and one assist. In addition, AURORA received assists from Emily Reier, who had one.

TORONTO was led by Daryl Watts, who scored the team's only goal. Watts scored 10:32 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Jessie Eldridge picked up the assist.

Melissa Black made 29 saves for AURORA on 30 shots. AURORA incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Stephanie Neatby recorded 16 saves for TORONTO. TORONTO incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
