RIPON RED TAILS took the lead against EAST BAY JAWZ in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 4-2 victory.

Jeff Blum provided RIPON RED TAILS with the game-winning tally when he scored 8:13 into the first period. A high sticking penalty on Blake Francis had put RIPON RED TAILS on the power play. Gavin Helm assisted on the tally.

RIPON RED TAILS was led by Nick Lang, who racked up one goal and one assist. Lang scored on the power play 14:52 into the first period to make the score 3-1 RIPON RED TAILS. RIPON RED TAILS had gotten the advantage when EAST BAY JAWZ's Josh Carey was sent off for interference.

RIPON RED TAILS cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring two goals on three chances. The defensemen of RIPON RED TAILS were also effective in EAST BAY JAWZ's zone, and came away with two goals.

RIPON RED TAILS also had goals scored by Eric Villalobos and Luke Steichen, who scored one goal each.
