NEW ENGLAND INSANITY completes comeback, beats STEEL CITY CHAOS, 8-7

NEW ENGLAND INSANITY climbed out of a four-goal hole to beat STEEL CITY CHAOS, 8-7.

NEW ENGLAND INSANITY let multiple leads slip away before eventually digging out of a four hole to pick up the win. NEW ENGLAND INSANITY took a 1-0 advantage on a goal by Brian Beaudette at 2:23 in the first period. NEW ENGLAND INSANITY went down 7-3 after STEEL CITY CHAOS' JAY GRUBIC put the puck home at 7:03 in the second period. After tying things up at 7-7 on a goal by Joshua Ogden at 13:30 in the second, NEW ENGLAND INSANITY got the game-winner from Joshua Antunes at 14:10 in the second period.

Ogden had a great game for NEW ENGLAND INSANITY, netting five goals. Ogden's first goal came 2:28 into the first period. He then added goals at 8:23 into the second, at 11:01 into the second, and at 11:51 into the second.

STEEL CITY CHAOS was unable to stop NEW ENGLAND INSANITY from sending pucks towards the net, and NEW ENGLAND INSANITY eventually piled up 44 shots on goal.

NEW ENGLAND INSANITY also got points from Beaudette, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Antunes, who also racked up two goals and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for NEW ENGLAND INSANITY were Justin Zarrella, Jimmy Fuoroli, and Austin Natividad, who contributed one each.

STEEL CITY CHAOS' offense rang up 49 shots on NEW ENGLAND INSANITY's net. The defensemen of STEEL CITY CHAOS were also effective in NEW ENGLAND INSANITY's zone, and came away with three goals.

STEEL CITY CHAOS was helped by BRYAN BYRD, who registered one goal. BYRD scored 4:40 into the second period to make the score 4-3 STEEL CITY CHAOS. STEEL CITY CHAOS also had goals scored by BRETT DUNHAM, who had two and TOM WARD, KEVIN MALLEY, and ELI FOCHLER, who each put in one.

NEW ENGLAND INSANITY's Nelson Raposa stopped 42 shots out of the 49 that he faced. NEW ENGLAND INSANITY incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities. PAUL SCHREIBER recorded 36 saves for STEEL CITY CHAOS. STEEL CITY CHAOS avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of two power plays.
