In a game where neither team could get a cushion, HARTFORD FIREANTS CONNECTICUT escaped with a 4-2 victory over NEW JERSEY SCRAPPERS.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Jim Miller's goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker.

David Joseph was all over the ice for HARTFORD FIREANTS CONNECTICUT, as he tallied two goals and two assists in the win. Joseph scored the first of his two goals at 4:56 into the first period to make the score 1-0 HARTFORD FIREANTS CONNECTICUT. Lou Battista picked up the assist. Joseph's next tally made the score 4-2 HARTFORD FIREANTS CONNECTICUT with 5:15 left in the second period. Miller provided the assist.
