The Fort Erie Meteors tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Welland Jr. Canadians would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-4. Welland made the score 5-3 on a goal by Brayden Stortz at 11:15 in the third period, and Fort Erie got as close as 5-4 when Declan Conway scored 16:41 into the third period. The win gave the Jr. Canadians a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series. Welland's penalty kill excelled, as the Jr. Canadians gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays. The Meteors were unable to stop Welland from sending pucks towards the net, and the Jr. Canadians eventually piled up 39 shots on goal. Others who scored for Welland included Jack Fitzgerald, Matt Cuglietta, Kris Melna, and Matt Martin, who scored one goal each. In addition, Welland received assists from Mitch Reid, Hunter Johnson, Josh Allan, and Gabe Ruggi, who contributed one each and JC Thivierge and Cameron Aitken, who each chipped in two. Fort Erie forced Welland's goalies to work between the pipes, launching 34 shots and forcing 30 saves. Chris Janzen made 16 stops and Johnson made 14. Fort Erie also got points from Holden Garlent, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Fort Erie also got a goal from Dalton Tartaglia as well. Other players who recorded assists for Fort Erie were Bryce Martin, who had two and Riley Mocha, Vito Scaringi, Alex Hurran, Richard DeMarco, and Anthony Passero, who contributed one each. The Jr. Canadians totaled 47 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors and one major and went 2-for-6 on the power play. Welland ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Fitzgerald was ejected from the game. Liam Conway rejected 34 shots on goal for the Meteors. Fort Erie incurred 52 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors.
