Mole leads Dundas to shutout victory over WhitbyIroquois - Rink#1 Wed, Feb 25, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Mike Mole was superb between the pipes for the Dundas Real McCoys, as he did not allow a goal in a 3-0 victory over the Whitby Dunlops. The win gave Dundas a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series. Simon Mangos had a great game for the Real McCoys, netting two goals. Mangos found the back of the net on the power play 10:15 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Dundas and again while 18:03 into the third to make the score 3-0 Dundas. Dundas stifled Whitby's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Real McCoys kept the Dunlops' goalie busy throughout the game, and Jason Guy made 29 saves on 32 shots. Dundas got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. Jordan Foreman also scored for Dundas. In addition, Dundas received assists from Duncan Dalmao, Cam Watson, Shawn Snider, Darryl Smith, and Jake Guindon, who each chipped in one. Whitby forced the Real McCoys goalie Mole to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. Dundas' Mole stopped 36 shots out of the 36 that he faced. The Real McCoys incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Dunlops incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
