Lee's big game bests Melbourne Whalers in 5-2 Melbourne Glaciers win

Lenny Lee was all over the ice for Melbourne Glaciers, as he tallied one goal and three assists in Melbourne Glaciers' 5-2 win over Melbourne Whalers.

Lee got on the board by slotting home a goal 5:44 into the second period to make the score 4-0 Melbourne Glaciers. Gavin Birchler picked up the assist. Lee dished an assist on Martin Brayden's goal that made the score 1-0 Melbourne Glaciers at 8:42 into the first period. He then added assists on Sam Hodic's goal at 10:30 into the first and on Brayden's goal at 7:31 into the second.

Melbourne Glaciers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Melbourne Whalers to score on any of its five power plays. Melbourne Glaciers got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. Melbourne Glaciers' offense was clicking better than usual and put 31 shots on goal during the game, better than the 3.0 shots per game it averages.

Melbourne Glaciers also got points from Brayden, who also finished with two goals and one assist and Hodic, who also racked up one goal and one assist. David Sowa also scored for Melbourne Glaciers. More assists for Melbourne Glaciers came via Timothy Evans and Fraser Ohlson, who contributed one each.
