M1 Lindenwood University outlasts M1 Ohio University, 3-2

The game between the M1 Lindenwood University Lions and the M1 Ohio University Bobcats was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end M1 Lindenwood University emerged with a 3-2 win.

Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Cody Barra's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

The Lions were led by Barra, who finished with one goal. Barra scored 17:27 into the third period to make the score 3-2 M1 Lindenwood University. Jake Wynd picked up the assist.

M1 Lindenwood University struggled on the penalty kill, allowing M1 Ohio University to score two power play goals on three chances.

M1 Lindenwood University also had goals scored by Stephen Bopp and Christoffer Lowenhielm, who scored one goal each. In addition, M1 Lindenwood University received assists from Jake Fairchild, Graham Zagrodney, and Kevin Walters, who contributed one each.

The Bobcats were held below their usual level of production. M1 Ohio University puts an average of 4.1 pucks into the net per game. The Bobcats put 41 shots on net during the contest, more than the 6.9 they average per game.

M1 Ohio University was helped by Liam Geither, who had one goal. Geither scored on the power play 6:00 into the second period to make the score 2-2. The Bobcats had gotten the advantage when the Lions' Lukas Daniels was sent off for charging. Paul Sergi provided the assist. M1 Ohio University also got a goal from Patrick Spellacy as well. More assists for M1 Ohio University came via Mike Kretz, Michael Harris, and Matthew Hartman, who each chipped in one.

Michael Hails rejected 39 shots on goal for M1 Lindenwood University. The Lions incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Aaron Alkema recorded 22 saves for M1 Ohio University. The Bobcats incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
