The M1 Davenport University Panthers tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the M1 Adrian College Bulldogs would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-2.

A goal by Alex Dobrzeniecki put M1 Adrian College up 4-1 in the third period, but M1 Davenport University pulled to within two on Everett Thompson's tally 13:30 into the third period.

The Panthers' power play was ineffective against the Bulldogs' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

M1 Adrian College could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 20 minutes in penalties during the game. The Bulldogs put 34 shots on net during the contest, more than the 0.7 they average per game.

M1 Adrian College was led by Chris Derochie, who had one goal and one assist. Derochie scored 16:08 into the second period to make the score 3-1 M1 Adrian College. Brad Kobryn picked up the assist.
