M1 Kent State University's comeback falls short, M1 Adrian College wins 4-2Revolution Rink 1 Sat, Feb 21, 2015 The M1 Adrian College Bulldogs, who led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by the M1 Kent State University Golden Flashes and clinched a 4-2 victory. M1 Adrian College led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Bulldogs' Zach Armstrong scored at 2:21 in the third period to put M1 Adrian College up 3-0. Brad Kobryn had two goals to lead the Bulldogs to victory. Kobryn scored on the power play at 6:03 into the second period to make the score 1-0 M1 Adrian College and again while on the power play 16:09 into the second to make the score 2-0 M1 Adrian College. M1 Adrian College's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three M1 Kent State University power plays. The 34 shots that the Bulldogs put on net surpassed M1 Adrian College's average of 0.7 shots per game this season. Robert Bodette also scored for M1 Adrian College. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Adrian College were Nicholas Goettel, Andre Rakas, Adam Bristol, Trevor Benaglio, and Chris Derochie, who contributed one each. M1 Kent State University forced the Bulldogs goalie Austyn Roudebush to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots. The Golden Flashes were helped by Jonathon Buttitta, who racked up one goal. Buttitta scored 5:45 into the third period to make the score 3-2 M1 Adrian College. Ethan Martin assisted on the tally. M1 Kent State University also got a goal from Chance Taylor as well. In addition, M1 Kent State University received assists from Zac Sommer, who had one. Roudebush rejected 30 shots on goal for M1 Adrian College. The Bulldogs incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Zachary Nowak recorded 30 saves for M1 Kent State University. The Golden Flashes incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
