Melbourne Ice's Thakker deadly on offense in 5-1 win against Adelaide Adrenaline

Anjali Thakker had two goals to lead Melbourne Ice to a 5-1 victory over Adelaide Adrenaline.

Thakker scored at 11:23 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while 14:41 into the first to make the score 2-1 Melbourne Ice.

Melbourne Ice put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Adelaide Adrenaline to score on any of its three power plays. Melbourne Ice put 29 shots on net during the contest, more than the 4.0 it averages per game.

Melbourne Ice also got a goal from Christine Bestland as well. Other players who recorded assists for Melbourne Ice were Nicole Tritter, who had two, Alivia Del Basso, who had four, and Olivia Dawson, Kristelle Vanderwolf, and Lindsay Audia, who contributed one each.
