Lockport falls to Wilkes-Barre in overtime, 7-6 (OT)

Wilkes-Barre pulled out a 7-6 (OT) overtime victory over Lockport on a clutch goal by Jonathan Wisten.

The win by Wilkes-Barre clinched the best of three series at 2-1.

Wilkes-Barre came back from a three-goal deficit to capture the victory. Wilkes-Barre trailed 6-3 after a goal by Lockport's Anthony Merante at 3:17 in the third period. Wilkes-Barre knotted things up at 6-6 on a goal by Michael Tugo at 18:45 in the third period.

Wilkes-Barre forced Lockport goalie Tyler Shotwell to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots.

Wilkes-Barre was led by Guillaume St. Germain, who tallied three goals. Wilkes-Barre additionally got points from Wisten, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Wilkes-Barre also got a goal from Daniel Leisser as well. In addition, Wilkes-Barre received assists from Derek Bureau, who had four and Austin Bandura, Zoltan Eross, Krystof Rykala, and Hunter Hackling, who each chipped in one.

Lockport's offense rang up 51 shots on Wilkes-Barre's net.

Lockport was helped by Ryan Logar, who racked up one goal and one assist. Logar scored on the power play 19:01 into the second period to make the score 5-3 Lockport. Lockport had gained a power play chance when Mason Campbell was whistled for boarding. Daniel Golba provided the assist. Lockport also got points from Golba, who also registered one goal and one assist. Lockport also had goals scored by Dillon Hayes and Justin Durkee, who scored one goal each. More assists for Lockport came via Jacob Burford, Jordan Pocobello, Peter Guido, Mark Friol, Austin Kasperek, and Justin Blake, who contributed one each and Frank II Vecchio and Nicholas Siracuse, who each chipped in two.

Nolan Bivolcic rejected 45 shots on goal for Wilkes-Barre. Wilkes-Barre incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Shotwell recorded 35 saves for Lockport. Lockport totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 2-for-4 on the power play.
