Smith lifts Uxbridge over Little Britain, 4-1Uxbridge Arena Tue, Feb 24, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Uxbridge Bruins relied on the scoring touch of Jarett Smith, who netted two goals, to beat the Little Britain Merchants, 4-1. Smith's tallies came at 12:19 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Uxbridge and 5:42 into the third to make the score 3-1 Uxbridge.After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, Little Britain faces elimination next time out. Uxbridge was led by goalie Brandon Francey, who finished with 27 saves while allowing one goal. Francey managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.67 prior to the game. The Bruins' offense rang up 33 shots on the Merchants' net. Uxbridge also got a goal from Todd Winder as well. More assists for Uxbridge came via Michael Spataro, Adam Bartholomew, Daryl Thomson, Marco Mastrangelo, and Tyson Eastgate, who contributed one each. Little Britain did not rack up many penalties in the contest, registering only one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Merchants were led by Kurtis Moore, who scored the team's only goal. Moore scored 17:58 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Uxbridge. Brady Martin provided the assist. Uxbridge incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Adam Harris recorded 29 saves for Little Britain. The Merchants registered zero goals on one power play opportunities.
