St. Andrews College blows out Appleby College, 4-0LaBrier Family Arena Wed, Feb 18, 2015 The Appleby College Blue Dogs had trouble finding ways to stop the St. Andrews College Saints, which beat Blue Dogs, 4-0. St. Andrews College got the win with help from a great game by Mac Lewis, who had two goals and one assist. Lewis scored the first of his two goals at 3:40 into the second period to make the score 2-0 St. Andrews College. Quentin Campbell picked up the assist. Lewis' next tally made the score 4-0 St. Andrews College with 4:55 left in the third period. Reid Yochim provided the assist. The Saints' offense rang up 44 shots on Appleby College's net. St. Andrews College additionally got points from JD Falconer, who also registered one goal and one assist. Alex MacDonald also scored for St. Andrews College. More assists for St. Andrews College came via Otto Saarimaa, Jacob Miller, and Emil Hiiri, who contributed one each. The Blue Dogs did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 14 shots on net to force 14 saves. Matthew Galajda made 14 saves for St. Andrews College on 14 shots. The Saints incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Appleby College's Avery Gobbo stopped 40 shots out of the 44 that he faced. The Blue Dogs incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. |
