The Exeter Hawks relied on the sparkling performance of James Morreau in net to grab a 4-1 win against the Mt.Brydges Bulldogs.

The win gave Exeter a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series.

The Hawks' penalty kill excelled, as Exeter gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays.

The Hawks were led by Chase Thornton, who racked up one goal. Thornton scored short handed 1:34 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Exeter. Tyler Kettler picked up the assist.

Exeter forced Mt.Brydges goalie Paul Town to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

Exeter additionally got points from Max Naus, who also registered one goal and one assist and Tyler Coleman, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points.
