M3-Calvin College uses big second period to beat M3-Michigan State University, 8-1

M3-Calvin College used a four-goal second period to put away M3-Michigan State University, 8-1.

M3-Calvin College got the win on the strength of a great game by Cameron Bell, who had two goals and two assists. Bell scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 7:52 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M3-Calvin College. M3-Calvin College had gotten the advantage when M3-Michigan State University's Matthew Cox was sent off for boarding. Benjamin Brouwer picked up the assist. Bell's next tally on the power play made the score 5-1 M3-Calvin College with 9:14 left in the second period. Noah Szenderski assisted on the tally.

M3-Michigan State University was doomed by its poor performance on special teams, as M3-Calvin College was able to score four times while on the power play.
