Jesse Schoeman stood on his head and made 37 saves to lead the Norwich Merchants to a 3-1 victory over the New Hamburg Firebirds. With the win, Norwich evened the series at 2-2 in the best of seven showdown. The Merchants were led by Kurtis Lavis, who racked up one goal. Lavis scored on the power play 11:28 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Norwich. Norwich had gained a power play chance when Andrew Boer was whistled for cross checking. Mitchell Berzins assisted on the tally. The Merchants excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Norwich also had goals scored by Braeden Shand and Drake Morrell, who each put in one. In addition, Norwich received assists from Jamie Kelly, Jesse Szabo, Harlen Vanwynsberghe, and Troy Lamoure, who contributed one each. New Hamburg's offense rang up 38 shots on Norwich's net. The Firebirds were led by Brodie Muckler, who scored the team's only goal. Muckler scored 17:57 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Shawn Antonides picked up the assist. The Merchants incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Ryan Purcell made 24 saves for New Hamburg on 27 shots. The Firebirds incurred 36 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
