M3-Hope College relied on the scoring touch of Ryan Restum, who netted two goals, to beat M3-Aquinas College, 3-1.

Restum scored at 17:37 into the third period to make the score 2-1 M3-Hope College and again while 19:52 into the third to make the score 3-1 M3-Hope College.

M3-Hope College was led by goalie Eric Lipon, who finished with 29 saves while allowing one goal. Lipon certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.07 entering the contest.

M3-Hope College put 45 shots on net during the contest, more than the 2.9 it averages per game.

M3-Hope College also got a goal from Austin Huffer as well. In addition, M3-Hope College received assists from Jared Lehman, who had one.

M3-Aquinas College stifled M3-Hope College's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. M3-Aquinas College could not produce up to its normal offensive output. M3-Aquinas College averages 5.8 goals per game. With 30 shots on target during the contest, M3-Aquinas College exceeded the 0.5 shots it averages per game this year.

M3-Aquinas College was led by Doug Zelenka, who scored the team's only goal. Zelenka scored on the power play 10:46 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M3-Aquinas College. M3-Aquinas College had gotten the advantage when M3-Hope College's Huffer was sent off for tripping. Justen Caudill assisted on the tally.

M3-Hope College incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. M3-Aquinas College's Sean Schmeiser stopped 42 shots out of the 44 that he faced. M3-Aquinas College totaled 21 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play. M3-Aquinas College ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Corey Giffel was ejected from the game.
