Napanee boosted by Mikuljan's play in net, beats Campbellford 2-1

Tomo Mikuljan had a standout game with 37 saves, and the Napanee Raiders beat the Campbellford Rebels 2-1.

After the loss made the series score 3-1 in the best of seven series, Campbellford faces elimination next time out.

Napanee was sparked by Jordan Cannons, who registered one goal. Cannons scored 18:36 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Napanee. Zach Knapp-Hermer picked up the assist.

The Raiders kept the Rebels' goalie busy throughout the game, and Cole Mahoney made 31 saves on 33 shots.

Brandon Nadeau also scored for Napanee. Other players who recorded assists for Napanee were Riley Steeves, Trent Schutt AP, and Austin Boulard, who each chipped in one.

Napanee was unable to stop Campbellford from sending pucks towards the net, and the Rebels eventually piled up 38 shots on goal. Campbellford did not rack up many penalties in the contest, finishing with only one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

The Rebels were led by Jeremiah Doherty, who scored the team's only goal. Doherty scored 2:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Campbellford. Andrew Doxtator assisted on the tally.

The Raiders incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Campbellford registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
