Hanover downs Walkerton, 2-1

Brodie Lemay registered one point to lead the Hanover Barons to a 2-1 victory over the Walkerton Hawks.

The win moved Hanover to down 2-1 in the best of seven series.

The Barons excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Walkerton was unable to stop Hanover from sending pucks towards the net, and the Barons eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

Hanover also got a goal from Wendel Cameron as well. In addition, Hanover received assists from Denver Hill, Lucas Johnson, Brad Pitt, and Jarrett Kuntz, who contributed one each.

The Hawks were led by Brett Coulson, who scored the team's only goal. Coulson scored 1:48 into the second period to make the score 1-1.

Hanover's Cody Van der Heide stopped 22 shots out of the 23 that he faced. The Barons incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Tristan Lewis made 30 saves for Walkerton on 32 shots. The Hawks incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
