Kincardine downs Wingham in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Gerrit Satosek gave the Kincardine Bulldogs a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Wingham Ironmen when he scored 12:51 into the extra period.

With the win, Kincardine avoided elimination to make the series score 3-2 in the best of seven series.

The Bulldogs came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Kincardine trailed 3-1 after a power play goal by Wingham's Brett Brophy at 15:49 in the second period. The Bulldogs knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Shawn Moore at 4:26 in the third period.

Moore had a great game for Kincardine, netting two goals.

The Bulldogs' offense rang up 42 shots on the Ironmen's net.

Kincardine additionally got points from Brycin Morrison, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Kincardine received assists from Chad Simpson and Matthew Mah, who contributed one each.

Wingham put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Kincardine to score on any of its seven power plays. The Ironmen kept the Bulldogs' goalie busy throughout the game, and Mitch Campbell made 33 saves on 36 shots.

Wingham was helped by Ryan McNeil, who had one goal. McNeil scored 19:29 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Wingham. Justin Jacklin assisted on the tally. J J Harland also scored for Wingham. More assists for Wingham came via Holdyn Lansink and Broedy Karelse, who each chipped in one.

Kincardine incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Ben Nelson recorded 38 saves for the Ironmen. Wingham incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. The Ironmen ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Greg Scott was ejected from the game.
