Thunder AAA Hockey (mm) rips Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (mm), 7-1

Thunder AAA Hockey (mm) had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-1 win over Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (mm).

Thunder AAA Hockey (mm)'s Tyler Mathews was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 25 saves and let only one puck past him. Despite the solid performance, Mathews will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.11 entering the contest.

Thunder AAA Hockey (mm) was led by Kyle Kawamura, who registered one goal. Kawamura scored 17:14 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Thunder AAA Hockey (mm). ZEKE ZEIER provided the assist.

Thunder AAA Hockey (mm) forced Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (mm)'s goalies to work between the pipes, launching 38 shots and forcing 31 saves. Colin Cain made 15 stops and Erich Valania made 16. Thunder AAA Hockey (mm) put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (mm) to score on any of its four power plays.

Thunder AAA Hockey (mm) additionally got points from Jake Walker, who also had one goal and one assist and Scott Corbett, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Thunder AAA Hockey (mm) also had goals scored by Matthew-Scott Mueller, Tyler Runyan, DAVID COHEN, and Hauken Washington, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Thunder AAA Hockey (mm) were Kyle Gierman, Ian McCollum, Seth Bacon, Ryan Mascali, Brenden Eng Tow, Matthew Hutton, and William Schlagenhauf, who each chipped in one.

Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (mm) excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.
