Dallas Stars Elite (MM) vanquishes Chicago Fury (MM) in shootout, 2-1 (1-0 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Dallas Stars Elite (MM) defeated Chicago Fury (MM) in a shootout 2-1 (1-0 SO).

The shootout featured six attempts between both teams.

Chicago Fury (MM) was stymied by Dallas Stars Elite (MM)'s netminder Brock Thompson, who stopped 25 shots during the victory. Despite the solid performance, Thompson will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.02 entering the contest.

Dallas Stars Elite (MM)'s penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Chicago Fury (MM) power plays.

Dallas Stars Elite (MM) was led by Carson Kelley, who racked up one goal. Kelley scored 10:52 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Dallas Stars Elite (MM). Nick Nietubyc assisted on the tally.

Chicago Fury (MM) excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Chicago Fury (MM) was led by Kyle Siemers, who scored the team's only goal. Siemers scored 15:46 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Danny Zielecki picked up the assist.

Dallas Stars Elite (MM) incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Chicago Fury (MM)'s PETER THOME stopped 27 shots out of the 28 that he faced. Chicago Fury (MM) incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
