Early goals doom M2 Eastern Kentucky University, falls to M3-Xavier University, 11-2

M3-Xavier University opened up a six-goal lead after the first period and did not look back en route to an 11-2 win over M2 Eastern Kentucky University.

Zachary MacMillian was all over the ice for M3-Xavier University, as he tallied two goals and three assists in the win. MacMillian scored the first of his two goals at 6:20 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Brian Gardner picked up the assist. MacMillian's next tally made the score 9-2 M3-Xavier University with 6:08 left in the second period. Paul Kucinski assisted on the tally.

M2 Eastern Kentucky University's power play was ineffective against M3-Xavier University's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.
