Orillia downs Stayner in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Orillia Terriers' Sean Crowe scored 5:20 into overtime to beat the Stayner Siskins, 4-3 (OT).

With the win, Orillia evened the series at 1-1 in the best of seven showdown.

Crowe had two goals to lead the Terriers to victory.

Orillia excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Stayner was unable to stop the Terriers from sending pucks towards the net, and Orillia eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

Orillia additionally got points from Ryan Tucci, who also had one goal and one assist. Jason Binnie also scored for Orillia. Other players who recorded assists for Orillia were Brock Welsh, who had two and Jacob Beard, Mathew White, Denny Benson, and Jordan Felix, who each chipped in one.

The Siskins' offense rang up 35 shots on the Terriers' net.

Stayner was helped by Brandon Watson, who finished with one goal. Watson scored 3:55 into the third period to make the score 3-3. Kyle Lafreniere provided the assist. Others who scored for Stayner included Kort Weir and Dylan Bursey, who each put in one. In addition, Stayner received assists from Brett Gauthier, Ryan Hyndman, Ryan Hudson, and Derick Robertson, who contributed one each.

Gordie Weiss made 32 saves for Orillia on 35 shots. The Terriers incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Nick Keleher rejected 28 shots on goal for the Siskins. Stayner incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
