Thomas Coleman finished with two points to lead M3-Coastal Carolina University to a 5-2 victory over the M2 Elon University Phoenix.

M3-Coastal Carolina University excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. M3-Coastal Carolina University's offense was clicking better than usual and put 33 shots on goal during the game, better than the 0.1 shots per game it averages.

M3-Coastal Carolina University also got points from Jason Cliff, who also registered one goal and one assist. Jon Spitz also scored for M3-Coastal Carolina University. Other players who recorded assists for M3-Coastal Carolina University were Connor Dupont and Patrick Long, who each chipped in one.

M2 Elon University could not produce up to its normal offensive output. The Phoenix put an average of 4.3 pucks into the net per game. M2 Elon University also got a goal from Evan Weisburger as well. In addition, M2 Elon University received assists from Ian Crowley and Mac McCann, who contributed one each.

M3-Coastal Carolina University's John Richard stopped 27 shots out of the 29 that he faced. M3-Coastal Carolina University incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Garrett Johnston recorded 28 saves for the Phoenix.
