A stellar performance between the pipes by Paul Town helped the Mt.Brydges Bulldogs defeat the Port Stanley Sailors, 2-1. The win by Mt.Brydges clinched the best of seven series at 4-0. The Bulldogs were sparked by Sean Candler, who racked up one goal. Candler scored 5:32 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Mt.Brydges. Alex Cox assisted on the tally. Mt.Brydges kept Port Stanley's goalie busy throughout the game, and Dylan Hoover made 36 saves on 38 shots. Mt.Brydges also got a goal from Cameron Jowett as well. More assists for Mt.Brydges came via Billy Morris, Brody Smith, and Trevor Smith, who contributed one each. The Sailors forced the Bulldogs goalie Town to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. Port Stanley was led by Ryan McDonnell, who scored the team's only goal. McDonnell scored 6:32 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Anders Adzija picked up the assist. Paul Town made 33 saves for Mt.Brydges on 34 shots. The Bulldogs incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Sailors incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
