Goldberg's hat trick boosts Aylmer over Lambeth, 6-4

The Lambeth Lancers could not stop the Aylmer Spitfires' Andrew Goldberg, who tallied a hat trick in a 6-4 win.

Goldberg's first goal came 8:34 into the first period. He then added goals at 11:30 into the second and at 12:18 into the second.

With the win, Aylmer evened the series at 1-1 in the best of seven showdown.

The Spitfires led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Aylmer's Robert Shaw scored at 13:22 in the third period to put the Spitfires up 5-2.

Aylmer's offense rang up 41 shots on Lambeth's net.

Aylmer additionally got points from Josh Houston, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Aylmer also got a goal from Josh Lockhart as well. In addition, Aylmer received assists from Luke Bettencourt, Ryan Van Roestel, Kyle DiCicco, Clint Walker, and Jesse Tottle, who contributed one each and Dylan Salter, Trevor Stewart, and Cody Underhill, who each chipped in two.

The Spitfires were unable to stop the Lancers from sending pucks towards the net, and Lambeth eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.

The Lancers were led by Warren Hargraves, who had one goal and two assists. Hargraves scored 23 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lambeth. Matt Schurr provided the assist. Lambeth also got points from Schurr, who also registered one goal and one assist. Lambeth also had goals scored by Jay Ritchie and Cleo Gubbels, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Lambeth were Ryan Pennington, who had one and Kale Corbeth, who had two.

Lucas Easterbrook rejected 32 shots on goal for Aylmer. The Spitfires incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. JP Trudell made 35 saves for Lambeth on 40 shots. The Lancers totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 2-for-7 on the power play. For Lambeth, Jordan Rear was ejected from the game.
