The Hagersville Hawks and the Glanbrook Rangers were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Hagersville made the most of its opportunities and won, 3-2.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Brett Dykstra secured the win for the Hawks with a goal in the third period.

With the win, Hagersville evened the series at 1-1 in the best of seven showdown.

The Hawks were sparked by Dykstra, who finished with one goal. Dykstra scored 9:27 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Hagersville. Dan Pugliese provided the assist.

Hagersville also got points from Pugliese, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Cole Martin also scored for Hagersville. Other players who recorded assists for Hagersville were Jonathan Pace, Mitch Green, Derek Friesen, Jacob Solomon, and Matt Rimac, who each chipped in one.

Glanbrook did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 12 shots on net to force 10 saves.

The Rangers were helped by Brad Parish, who racked up one goal. Parish scored on the power play 4:21 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Glanbrook had gotten the advantage when Hagersville's Rimac was sent off for tripping. Garnet Batrynchuk assisted on the tally. Glanbrook additionally got points from Curtis Edwards, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Glanbrook received assists from Drew Jedrzejewicz and Chad Carey, who contributed one each.

Curtis Dortenzio made 10 saves for the Hawks on 12 shots. Hagersville incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Rangers' Matthew Venturelli stopped 21 shots out of the 24 that he faced. Glanbrook incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For the Rangers, Owen Norton was ejected from the game.
