The Kincardine Bulldogs beat the Mount Forest Patriots, 3-1, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout. A goal 50 seconds into the first period by Patrick Wiejak proved to be the game winner, and powered Kincardine to the victory. Mike Osadca provided the assist.After the loss made the series score 3-2 in the best of seven series, Mount Forest faces elimination next time out. The Bulldogs' penalty kill excelled, as Kincardine gave up one goal despite allowing nine power plays. The Bulldogs were sparked by Sam Feagan, who tallied one goal. Feagan scored on the power play 8:31 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Kincardine. Kincardine had taken the advantage when the Patriots' Brendon Aitken got sent off for cross checking. The Patriots had gotten the advantage when the Bulldogs' Collin Whitfield was sent off for unsportsmanlike conduct. Mitch Betts picked up the assist. Mitch Campbell rejected 24 shots on goal for Kincardine. The Bulldogs incurred 38 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Mount Forest's John Nixon stopped 24 shots out of the 26 that he faced.
