Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Frontier defeated NA3HL 18U Selects in a shootout 3-2.

The two teams needed 10 turns to complete the shootout. NA3HL 18U Selects got a shootout goal from Devin Panzeca. Frontier also got a shootout goal from Lucas Lomax.

Frontier came back from a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. Frontier trailed 2-1 after a goal by NA3HL 18U Selects' Andy McGlynn at 6:32 in the third period. Frontier knotted things up at 2-2 on a goal by Brandt Miller at 15:23 in the third period.

Frontier's offense rang up 33 shots on NA3HL 18U Selects' net.

Frontier was helped by Kendall Bolen-Porter, who tallied one goal. Bolen-Porter scored 8:34 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Lucas Stover picked up the assist. Other players who recorded assists for Frontier were Bryce Mitzel and Matt Gamblin, who each chipped in one.

NA3HL 18U Selects forced Frontier goalie Sean Kelley to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots.

NA3HL 18U Selects was helped by Max Doner, who finished with one goal. Doner scored 19:12 into the first period to make the score 1-0 NA3HL 18U Selects. Dominic Costello provided the assist. In addition, NA3HL 18U Selects received assists from Adam Havener and Matt Goodman, who contributed one each.
