M3-Aurora University-Blue hangs on, beats M3-Northwestern 5-3

Anthony Palermo gave M3-Aurora University-Blue the lead in the first period, and M3-Northwestern was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 5-3.

A goal 10:49 into the first period by Palermo proved to be the game winner, and powered M3-Aurora University-Blue to the victory. Shane Brown assisted on the tally.

M3-Aurora University-Blue was sparked by Brown, who had one goal and one assist. Brown scored 15:39 into the third period to make the score 4-2 M3-Aurora University-Blue.

M3-Aurora University-Blue excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. By firing 37 shots on goal, M3-Aurora University-Blue exceeded the 2.1 shots it averages per game this year.

M3-Aurora University-Blue also got points from Paul Mascitti, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Bryce Stenstrom, who also racked up one goal and one assist. M3-Aurora University-Blue also got a goal from Vincent Palermo as well.
