New Jersey Rockets (mm) uses shootout to best Boston Advantage (mm), 3-2 (2-0 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as New Jersey Rockets (mm) defeated Boston Advantage (mm) in a shootout 3-2 (2-0 SO).

The shootout featured four attempts between both teams. New Jersey Rockets (mm) also got a shootout goal from Kyle MacLean.

New Jersey Rockets (mm) overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. New Jersey Rockets (mm) fell behind 2-0 after a goal by Boston Advantage (mm)'s Mike Higgins at 3:23 in the second period. New Jersey Rockets (mm) tied things up at 2-2 on a goal by MacLean at 12:29 in the third period.

New Jersey Rockets (mm) forced Boston Advantage (mm) goalie Niko Lynch to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

New Jersey Rockets (mm) was led by Michael Sacchi, who tallied one goal and one assist. Sacchi scored 10:26 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Boston Advantage (mm). Johnny Dorio assisted on the tally. In addition, New Jersey Rockets (mm) received assists from Christopher Petrone and Lucas Rowe, who contributed one each.

Boston Advantage (mm) was helped by Joe Tarquini, who finished with one goal. Tarquini scored 10:28 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Boston Advantage (mm). Zack Brissette picked up the assist. More assists for Boston Advantage (mm) came via Brady Guadette, Joseph Nagle, and Zack Damico, who each chipped in one.

Douglas Connor III rejected 24 shots on goal for New Jersey Rockets (mm). New Jersey Rockets (mm) avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays. Lynch recorded 32 saves for Boston Advantage (mm). Boston Advantage (mm) finished the contest with no penalties and went 0-for-0 with the man advantage.
