M2 Duke University falls to M2 Elon University in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Connor Martin gave the M2 Elon University Phoenix a 4-3 (OT) victory over the M2 Duke University Blue Devils when he scored 3:00 into the extra period.

M2 Elon University was led by Martin, who registered one goal and one assist.

The Phoenix stifled M2 Duke University's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. M2 Elon University got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. The Phoenix put 54 shots on net during the contest, more than the 0.1 they average per game.

M2 Elon University also got points from Hayden Lowry, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. M2 Elon University also had goals scored by Conor Scharlop and Tom Macdonald, who scored one goal each. In addition, M2 Elon University received assists from Robert Destefano, Sam Sarath, Evan Weisburger, and Matt Williamson, who each chipped in one.

The Blue Devils' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three M2 Elon University power plays. M2 Duke University kept M2 Elon University's goalie busy throughout the game, and Colin Langham made 30 saves on 33 shots.

The Blue Devils were helped by Kevin Brooke, who had one goal and one assist. Brooke scored 7:03 into the second period to make the score 3-1 M2 Elon University. M2 Duke University additionally got points from Travis Buck, who also had one goal and one assist. M2 Duke University also got a goal from Ellis Baehr as well. More assists for M2 Duke University came via Jason Sugden and Michael Schahfer, who contributed one each.

The Phoenix incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Andre Van Rynbach recorded 50 saves for M2 Duke University. The Blue Devils incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
