Port Hope downs Napanee, 4-1

Mike Smith racked up one point to lead the Port Hope Panthers to a 4-1 victory over the Napanee Raiders.

Nathan Snoek also scored for Port Hope. Other players who recorded assists for Port Hope were Connor Turland, Hunter Baker, Jacob Spicer, and Chandler Gillespie, who each chipped in one.

Napanee could not produce up to its normal offensive output. The Raiders put an average of 4.4 pucks into the net per game. Napanee found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 14 shots against Port Hope's defense.

The Raiders were led by Mitch Pearce, who scored the team's only goal. Pearce scored on the power play 18:31 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Port Hope. A tripping penalty on Dalton Lawrence had put Napanee on the power play. Keenan Murray assisted on the tally.

Devan Tremblay made 13 saves for the Panthers on 14 shots. Port Hope incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Panthers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Josh Cameron was ejected from the game. Tomo Mikuljan rejected 22 shots on goal for the Raiders. Napanee incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
