M1 Kent State University uses shootout to best M1 Eastern Michigan University, 6-5 (1-0 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the M1 Kent State University Golden Flashes defeated the M1 Eastern Michigan University Eagles in a shootout 6-5 (1-0 SO).

The two teams needed six turns to complete the shootout.

M1 Kent State University overcame a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Golden Flashes fell behind 5-4 after a goal by M1 Eastern Michigan University's Jon Farkas at 10:53 in the third period. M1 Kent State University tied things up at 5-5 on a goal by Chance Taylor at 18:04 in the third period.
