Huge game by Alcock boosts Brantford over Dundas, 7-3JL Grightmire Arena Mon, Feb 16, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Behind a great game by Dustin Alcock, who had one goal and two assists, the Brantford Blast defeated the Dundas Real McCoys, 7-3. Alcock scored 18:24 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Brantford. Jamie Williams picked up the assist. Alcock dished an assist on Connor Robinson's goal that made the score 2-1 Brantford at 8:28 into the second period. He added another helper on Williams' goal that made the score 6-2 Brantford at 12:58 into the third period.Brantford put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Dundas to score on any of its three power plays. The Blast kept the Real McCoys' goalie busy throughout the game, and Mike Mole made 41 saves on 48 shots. Brantford also got points from Andrew Marcoux, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Williams, who also registered one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Chris Rebernik also scored for Brantford. More assists for Brantford came via Mark Taylor, who had one and Dave Russell, Cam Sault, and Kevin Christmas, who each chipped in two. Dundas forced Brantford goalie Anthony Marshall to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots. The Real McCoys were helped by Jeff White, who grabbed one goal. White scored 17:44 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Brantford. Shawn Snider provided the assist. Others who scored for Dundas included Cam Watson and Curtis Campbell, who each put in one. In addition, Dundas received assists from Beni Berisha, who had two and Darryl Smith, Brad Bonello, and Brett Smith, who contributed one each. The Blast's Marshall stopped 35 shots out of the 38 that he faced. Brantford totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 0-for-1 on the power play. The Blast ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Shayne Salmon was ejected from the game. Dundas ended with seven minutes in penalty time with one minor and one major. For the Real McCoys, Jordan Foreman was ejected from the game.
