Early goals doom M2 Brigham Young University, falls to M2 Utah State University, 9-1

M2 Utah State University opened up a four-goal lead after the first period and did not look back en route to a 9-1 win over M2 Brigham Young University.

Shaun Gibbons was all over the ice for M2 Utah State University, as he tallied two goals and two assists in the win. Gibbons scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 2:33 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M2 Utah State University. Rylee Orr provided the assist. Gibbons' next tally on the power play made the score 4-0 M2 Utah State University with 1:32 left in the first period. M2 Utah State University had gotten the advantage when M2 Brigham Young University's Brandon Archibald was sent off for checking from behind. Orr picked up the assist.
