Ontario Avalanche outlasts Colorado Eagles, 4-2

Ontario Avalanche and Colorado Eagles were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Ontario Avalanche made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-2.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Michael Thomas secured the win for Ontario Avalanche with a goal in the second period.

Ontario Avalanche was led by Thomas, who registered one goal. Thomas scored 22:31 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Ontario Avalanche. Coleton Dawson assisted on the tally.

Ontario Avalanche put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Colorado Eagles to score on any of its three power plays.

Ontario Avalanche also had goals scored by Thurel Kast, Paul Ramsey, and Zechariah Roberts, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Ontario Avalanche were Tre Mason, Jackson Giammona, Martin Carlsson, and Nick Anderson, who contributed one each.

Colorado Eagles could not produce up to its normal offensive output. Colorado Eagles puts an average of 4.2 pucks into the net per game. Colorado Eagles kept Ontario Avalanche's goalie busy throughout the game, and Chris Skeates made 33 saves on 35 shots.

Colorado Eagles was helped by Riley Roberts, who racked up one goal. Roberts scored 34 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-1 Ontario Avalanche. Ty Hubbard picked up the assist. Logan Libal also scored for Colorado Eagles. More assists for Colorado Eagles came via Brian Brink, who had one and Cade Warner, who had two.

Ontario Avalanche totaled 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-2 on the power play. Quinn Wold made 22 saves for Colorado Eagles on 24 shots. Colorado Eagles ended with 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors and two majors.
